Hello Homebrewers!
First off, a big thanks from the Mt. Sun Brewery team to all of you for participating in our first ever homebrew contest. With 39 entries, we consider this to be a huge success! We tasted some great beer, and had a very difficult time narrowing down the entries.
As a matter of fact, we couldn't pick just one. When it came down to the final two entries, the six brewer/judges were deadlocked at three to three. Instead of going to fisticuffs, we decided both recipes were worthy of becoming Mt. Sun beers.
It is my pleasure to announce our two winners:
- Adam Boggs for his Coconut Cream Stout
- Scott Overdorf for his "Oak Stoked Stout"
It was a very difficult judging process, and we are honored to have received so many entries. We tasted some fantastic brews, and the homebrewing community proved that they are on the cutting edge of the craft brew scene.
We plan to make this contest an annual event, so make sure to keep us in mind as you continue to develop new and exciting recipes!
